Excerpt: (Birthday scene Keri mentioned yesterday)

"Birthday girls get their pleasure first." Kyle dipped his head lower.

Keri closed her eyes and relaxed, smiling to herself. If I am ready for the next step, how do I let him know? Soon, the now-familiar ache in her stomach began to grow, and Keri let go of Kyle's head, grabbing her pillow as she moaned and whispered his name. Minutes later, he had made his way back up her body.

"Oh, Kyle…" She panted, wanting more. "Don't stop, please?"

"Baby…you mean…?”

Keri nodded. "Be gentle?"

"I'll try to make it good for you," he promised, rolling on top of her. She felt his fingers inside her again as she reached for the growing sensation. All of a sudden, he stopped and scrambled out of bed.

"What's wrong?" Why did he stop? What’s he looking for?

"Nothing, sweetheart." He searched through a dresser drawer. "Ah, here they are."

"What?"

He came back to the bed and took her in his arms. "For your protection.” He waved the blue square package at her.

"Oh." Thank God one of us remembered; birth control wasn’t on my mind! Brilliant, Keri…just brilliant. You’re acting juvenile again.

He caressed her body again then pulled on the condom and start probing. "Honey, this may hurt a little at first," he warned. "But it's got to be done. I'll be as easy as I can. Just say the word, and I'll stop right now."

Keri shook her head. "No. I love you, and I want you."
